Beware The Dark

Raven looked around the forested seem to go black in seconds. You could hear the clock in the distance signally the start of another hour. The sun had just fallen behind the distant hills darkness engulf her vision. She waited patiently as her eyes adjusted to the shadows. She knew the forest well she hid here from her creator quite often. It was thick hard to navigate and close to town a perfect spot to hid. She had a cabin in the deep part of the forest but she had not realized how much time she wasted in town. She enjoyed the hustle and bustle of people in the market place. It made her feel...normal.

"Of course, there is a room in the back which you are more than welcome too.." Raven felt a small tension. She was not sure if she had provoked uncertainty in Tida or not. But she had sat down so she figured now was time to explain how she kept moving everything. "I can created magnetic fields in objects or in thin air allowing me to move all metal, however I can not shape it" Raven lifted her tea cup without touching it since the tea had had a chance to cool this allowed her to move it again.

Raven watch as her tea cup changed shape. She herself gave it a poke and the ball dropped onto the table with a loud thud. "I can also fluxuate the density of objects making the heavier and stronger or lighter and weaker." She touched the ball again to return the weight. She grabbed the edge of the table lifting it clear off the ground without even breaking a sweat. the ball cup and bowl had been floated off so as to not break them. She set it down. "Check for yourself" She gestured to the table.

The dishes fell at the drop of the question. Hitting the floor spilling the stew, tea and water. "Sorry, I have not fully master it all yet" Raven lied, three objects was nothing compared to her training. "M-my powers" Raven stammered as she grabbed a towel to clean up the mess. "I just sort of stumbled upon them one day, it is a really funny storywith the density magic. I was walking on the 4th floor in the bizzare when it struck I fell through the floors easy." Raven lied chuckling a little at her story. It was the first one she could think up...

Raven brushed her hair back. "I have generally use the magic as often as possible in order continually harness the magic" She had moved to the sink grabbing a cloth to finish wiping up the mess. "Just a moment" Raven had begun the process of getting a new bowl, new soup, new cups, tea and water. All before returning to her seat. She needed to learn not to lose focus at the mention of her past, it was highly unlikely that this women worked for her creator.

Raven put fourth a smile. "Bandits have never been an issue for me, I have nothing of value for them to take and no one can get into the house when I am not home." Though unnoticable by eye by ear one might notice that the house for it's size was fair rather well against the storm it should have been creaking alot more under the strain of the storm but all you heard was the howling winds as the pushed against a solid fortress. Raven's cabin had had it's density fluxuated by Raven making it a strong and heavy fortress, no one could move the door's or windows except for her and unlike most windows because they were so much denser they were so much stronger making them hard to break. Thus her house was bandit proof. "Besides I doubt we will see any bandits in this whether." Just as Raven had finished saying that there was a loud crash against the wall that caused her to jump up from her seat.

Raven sat back down. She almost had not heard what Tida had asked, her mind focused on the crash she was certain it might have just been a tree that had fallen over and had been bloawn into the house by the wind. She turned her eyes towards Tida letting out a heavy sigh.

"Are we not all hiding from something?" Raven figured answering her question with a question might annoy her or it could bring fourth an answer for Raven without her having to actually ask a question. "The truth is as much as I like to be around people, I don't want to be used like a weapon. With magic such as mine possibilities are endless" Raven figured this would be a more suited answer that reveiled her true reasons for hiding only leaving out that she was technically being hunted.

"Don't get me wrong the thought had crossed my mind, but there appears to be a price on everything now a days. Sometimes being good is just not enough, if the sacrifice is too much" Raven emptied her cup and her bowl. They moved silently towards the counter, the only give away of her magic was her now glowing eye. She had seen many strong mages but Raven feared her powers. Partly because of the fact that she was just an experiment. Who knew what potential was locked away with in her.

A thunderous roar was heard over the storm. Which with all the noise the storm was making meant that whatever it was, was really close. A large thud hit the wall again, Raven was certain now that this was not just a tree blown over by the storm...

Raven shook her head. She knew it would not be able to break through the house but she knew that it knew Her and Tida were in there and it likely would not stop. Raven held out her hand a sword appeared to form in the palm of her hand. A leather braid wrapped around the hilt and Raven grasped the sword.

The sword had been created from a few of tiny metal fragments which were in a pouch in Raven's room, they were held tightly together by her magnetism creating a sharp and durible sword. Raven knew that once they left the house this would not only be a fight with the creature but with the storm raging outside as well.

Raven unclipped her dress revealing, what was considered her battle gear. The door opened on it's own as Raven too began her way out into the storm. Rain poured into the house as soon as the door had opened. A tail seemed to hang down by the door way. There were scratching sounds. Whatever it was, was moving around on the roof.

It was dark, it was wet, the wind was fierce and now there was something threatening their safety on the roof of Raven's cabin.



Two spectral wolves were ontop of Raven's cabin. These creatures hunted during storms which is why they had no problem being out in it. Storms forced their prey to bunker down making them easier to catch. They were big and rather fierce creatures to encounter.

Raven unzipped a couple of her bracelets lifting herself into the air with the magnetism. She increase the weight of the bracelets throwing them with the use of he magic to the wolf that had fallen locking his paws down. She landed on the other side of the second wolf who stood snarling. His teeth bear as he lunged forward for a strike. The wolf pinned to the ground began to howl. More howls could be heard in the distance....

Raven point her sword towards the wolf on the roof who was following after Tida the blade launched off breaking into shrapnel to slice the wolf. A third wolf had lunged from the trees towards Tida to protect it's commrade. The one on the ground struggled to get free. The wolf whom Raven had launch her blade at also leapt only not to get Tida to help free the captured wolf. Raven had half her mind on the battle and half her mind wonder where the alpha male was. The leader of the packed was always the largest and if you got him the rest would leave you alone. These wolves were all the same size right now meaning they were simply omegas. Bait for a trap.
