On to a mission

Gray was on his way to the station he had a trip he needed to take more impotently he was going on a mission an A class mission simple enough for him but the pay was great enough for three months of rent so Gray finally making it to the train station stood there waiting for the train to come he watch people coming and go but yet his train had not arrived Gray crossed his arms and sighed

Sounds of people yelling could be heard in station. "Come back here. Someone help catch that man!" The man shoved people that was in his way as he made he way to the tracks near Gray. He used a strange kind of magic to turn himself into shadow. "Fear not, he won't escape my sword arm." Owain shouted, he leaped in the air quickly pulling out his sword to strike the man before his transformation was complete. With a flash of light the man was knocked out, Owain threw the unconscious body next to Gray as he jumped onto the platform. "Enemy has been subdued."

Gray rolled his eyes and shook his head "Was this staged? This looks really fake" Gray was speaking about how it was carried out and who was this guy? Really who was this guy he never seen him before it was normal for people in Magnolia to appear or pass through at least to well come through he suppose whatever the case Gray sat down he still had to wait for the train to come so he could head out

Owain looked at Gray, he sheath his sword putting it away. "Staged? No such thing. Such-h-" Owain words were cut off when the merchant came up to them, he thanked Owain and explain to them the situation, the guy took a ring from the merchant. "Glad to be of service." Owain turned back to address Gray. "Sorry about that, were was I. Oh yes, I saw this criminal here steal from him, I assure you something dishonorable as stealing is a serious crime." Owain tried to explain, he was a bit theatrical in just about everything he did. Maybe a bit too much of those short stories he wrote were taking a slight effect.

Thats not what Gray had meant. He understand why he did saving the man and helping him that wasn't hard. What he didn't get was the way he talked that was so weird to Gray. It made him think of Rufus his manners and his actions. It wasn't something Gray wasn't used to like after all he is apart of Fairy Tail. So Gray didn't let it get to him to much just sat there staring at this guy. "Who are you?" Gray asked the weird boy.

Lodin took a pose, his right hand rest over his face, and his left hand on the hilt of his sword. "I'm... Owain, born Hero of the land." Owain stood in the pose for a couple of seconds after announcing his name before returning back to his previous position. "I wish to be the best swordsman wizard in the land. But first I need to master the wizard part." Owain had difficulties with magic for the most part, knowing only very little spells in his arsenal. "Wait..... You're the famous Ice Mage Gray." Owain quickly bowed his head, it wasn't everyday he ran into a wizard like Gray.

This guy was so odd. Was Gray thoughts the oddest reach a new level. "Are you related to Rufus?" He couldn't help but ask Owain this question. Famous now Gray didn't think he was famous and Ice Mage that he was. "Yea that's me Gray Fullbuster nice to meet you Owain" Though he thought this guy was odd Gray was still a nice guy. "You wish to be the best swordsman and wizard in the land? There are a lot of good swordsman/wizards in this land. Rogue,Erza,Kagura,Ikgaura you got a list you know that?"

"Rufus? Well I belong to a big family, can't say I recall a Rufus, but I'm sure this Rufus you speak of isn't related to me." Owain nodded his head when Gray brought up Owain's goal. As Gary listed the people Owain had started to smile. "Ha, my sword hand has been itching for such worthy opponent. I wish to see them on the battlefield when I finish my training." Owain gave a chuckle, he held his hand out to shakes Gary's hand. "Do you happen to know any masters of magic? You see, I lack the ability to use magic effectively unless, it's with my trusty partner Horn Edge." Owain referred to his sword, he had a habit for naming his weapons.

When he said the name Horn Edge Gray was confused. Not knowing what Horn Edge was he looked around on Owain. "Horn Edge?" Now he had to ask what that was. Knowing that he wasn't related to Rufus he had to point out who Rufus was. "Rufus Lore of Sabertooth. What do you mean by masters of magic? What kind of master would you be looking for?" In the world there was many masters, many amazing wizards who could do amazing things. Owain would have to know what he was looking for around here.

When Gray asked about Horn Edge, Owain smiled nodding his head. "Ah yes, Horn Edge. It's the name of my sword. A warrior should be comfortable with the weapon they wields don't you think." Owain rested his hand on his sword hilt, thinking back to the first time he obtained his sword. "Ah yes, now I remember. He's the one you fought against back then, tis was a good fight. Ah yes a master to teach me magic." When Gray asked what kind of master Owain was flustered, he wanted to know so much, but then he again he wanted to learn anything that anyone could give him. He wasn't sure on which type of magic he should even learn, there was so many. "Um...I'm having a problem picking the best type to learn."

"You should travel around. See different guilds see who will teach you maybe you'll pick up something." Gray said as he saw his train coming. He got up and looked at Owain while tapping his foot on the station. "Since you don't know what you want to do that would be best for you in my opinion." Gray looked back at everyone who walked up for the train. The train pulled up and Gray looked at Owain wondering what he was about to do. "So?"

"Hmm.... You have a sure sound plan there, Gray-sama. I'll take your word of advice." Owain chuckled to himself a bit. "Hmm... I guess I should start my search. I take it you're going back home right, well thank you Gray." Owain extended his hand out to shake Gray's hand.

"I'm leaving for a mission." Gray shook Owain with some what of a smile on his face. "This is my home its Magnolia we're in right  now." He told him but at least he could help him. That was good being able to help Owain with his quest.

Owain felt kinda like a fool for getting his information wrong. He shook his head, bowing his head for the mistake. "Ha sorry about that, thank you for the insight. I wish you good luck on your journey." Owain smiled a bit, knowing he recieved help from someone in Fairy Tail had cheered him up.

Gray shook his head and smiled walking onto the train as it pulled off from the station.

Owain was about to walk off when he thought of an idea, he rushed into the train with Gray. "Sorry to impose, but would you mind if I tag along. I'm sure I could learn something new if I tag along. Of course that's if you would me and Horn Edge to accompany you that is." Owain had placed his hand on the train rail.

Gray looked at Owain for a moment. He didn't have a ticket for this kid? Maybe he could do something about that sooooo.... Gray grabbed Owain and brought him into the train. As the train take off nobody would know and Gray walked onto his seat where he sat down. Since he was coming well he was just coming with him anyway.

As the train departed from the station, Owain expressed great graduate to Gray for helping him out. "Ah thank you, I would have to return the favor one day." Owain walked over to one of the widows and looked outside as the train moved. "Hm... What kind of rank is a mission like this if you don't mind me asking."

"No rank just a mission" Gray simply said. Looking out the window he was happy that it wouldn't be a long train ride there.  Something like this Gray didn't mind doing being as it would be a very simple mission and a good one for him. "Don't worry about the favor" The words of the Ice Wizard in short.

Owain glanced at the window looking at the scenery. "Interesting, and fair enough good sir." Owain enjoyed nice trips, anything that included a nice scenery or nature in general was always enjoyed by him.

Sitting there rubbing his chin Gray thought how long it would take for them to reach where they had to be it shouldn't be long no more then maybe an hour or two if the train ran like it was suppose to and that wasn't bad he would be there by nightfall or a bit before if he was lucky anyway till there he thought he would give Owain something to talk about with him "Who taught you magic Owain?"

Owain was seep in thought at the time but when her heard Gray's question he kind of jumped, his mind racing back to reality. "Who taught me magic? Ah, it was my teacher Marcus who introduced magic to me. He taught the concept and explained it to me, he even taught me how to manipulate Eternano. With his teachings and my swordsman master, I was able to develop Sword Magic." Owain looked over his blade and back to the window. "What about you?"

"I had a master named Ur" Gray simply said with his head still looking out of the window the details of his master and his lifestyle was something that Gray didn't like going into at all meaning Owain wasn't about to get any answers on that subject not from Gray anyway he would have to ask someone else

"Ah." Owain didn't try to pry any further, it was obvious that Gray didn't want to speak much of it, perhaps a bad set of memories. Owain closed his eyes, easing his thoughts. "So Sir Gray, was learning magic for you difficult?"

"My magic was a hardship its a big problem for me at first." Well was this something Gray wanted to talk about? Ice Make magic was hard and it took time to learn and master. "No no no it was really hard it took me years to master. I spent days out in the cold for months but I loved it." With that he had a smile on his face
