The ultimate defense vs the strongest shield

The air in the forest at the foot of the mountain was heavy with magical energy and the source was Galahad who stood in a clearing in the forest. The knights body glowed from his magical energy and the ground beneath him was cracking beside him in the ground was a claymore as big as the knight and covered with runes the knight had not a single piece of armor on and only a pair of short pants on. Galahad stood with closed eyes and crossed arms waiting but ready to fight as always

Kamaris atop his horse galloped into view of Galahad. He cracked a slow smile as he descended off his horse, taking off his helmet and collecting his sword and shield from the pack on his horse. He started to walk to his fellow Knight. "Mast...I mean Ser Galahad" He had a problem with calling his peers who were his superiors only a few months ago by their titles equal to his. "Good to see you, why is it we are to spar? Lord Arthur mentioned something of a tournament." He said fastening his shield tight to his arm.

Galahad opened his eyes when he heard Kamaris horse "The Council is organizing a tournament where all are welcome also people like The Fallen King and we need to be in the best form we can so we spar it's been too quiet so I was a little rusty. Well that is the first reason the other is" Galahad turned toward Kamaris with a smile as he took around his claymore and lifted it as if it was light as a feather "I heard that you think your shields can stand up to my Wall boy" Galahad was already testing to see if Kamaris could keep a cool head

Kamaris shook his head along with Galahad's tournament explanation. "A chance at Fallen King in the open, a better opportunity won't be had. But yes with some of the members they have, we must be in top shape." He said rubbing the back of his head with his shield hand and smiling. "Arthur told you about that huh? I was just wondering aloud." He replied twisting from side to side to loosen up his back. "But since we are here why don't we test it out."

Galahad smiled Arthur had really trained him good just by how he held his weapons and moved Galahad stomped in the ground make a small earthquake so Kamaris were frightened and ran "So it will not become caught between us" Galahad looked at Kamaris "Are you ready?"

Kamaris smirked at the display of power. Rumor held that Galahad was a monster just like Arthur, they were comparable in strength and Galahad was even more physically imposing as he was nearly a foot taller than his master, and two feet taller than Kamaris himself. He was smirking because he was about to try and dismantle an absolute tank of a human being and the challenge was exciting. "Of course, its polite to let my elders make the first move." He said holding up his shield and hiding his blade behind it, his eyes peering over the edge of his shield watching Galahad intensely.

"Don't get too confident" Galahad swung his sword with one hand but Kamaris was far out of reach for the sword to hit at first glance but from one moment to the next became the sword several times larger and had more then enough reach to hit Kamaris with full force and Galahad used enough strength to be able to cut hardened steel half Galahad smiled a bit as he was not sue if Kamaris remembered his Titan magic

"I'm not" Kamaris replied, deftly spinning out of the way of the strike. Only a fool wouldn't know about The Mountains Titan reach, and Kamaris was no fool. "Sword Magic: Crescent Slash" He said aloud as he made a swipe along the ground with his sword, a cutting shockwave tearing up the ground on its way to Galahad in a hurry.

With his left hand pointed Galahad all his fingers up in the air in front of him raised ground up creating a thick wall that shattered was a shockwave hit it but protected Galahad as the shattered stone fell pointed Galahad with two fingers at Kamaris all the shattered stone flew straight at Kamaris and while they flew they became like spearheads of different sizes. With his right hand swung Galahad his sword again but this time from the side against Kamaris and again grew the sword

"Aegis: Rebound" A barrier appeared at Karamis' side, rebouding the blow of Galahads sword, as his shield bashed away a few rock spears and his sword cleaved up the rest. He smiled, having fun during the battle. "So that's the infamous wall."

Galahad chuckled a bit "I have not used my Wall yet that was pure Earth Magic you have yet used something my Earth Magic can't stop" Galahad struck with a fist at Karamis but instead of his hand grew shot a rock fist from the ground covered with iron straight at Karamis "Iron Rock Fist"

"Well seeing as you are the superior officer I suppose I should show my hand first then. As this is a battle of defense." Karamis sunk into a stance holding his shield infront of him, and met the rock fist, sliding back a bit until the first stopped then he shoved it to the side and shot a piercing shockwave at Galahad.

"A battle of defense it may be a first" Now Galahad took a stance his chest straight toward Karamis and his attack and his arms slightly back as the shot was about to hit him he smiled "This is what you need to surpass Karamis" As the words left Galahad's mouth a spherical defensive barrier formed from Galahad's chest covering his whole body stopping Karamis's shockwave as if it were nothing "Wall" Galahad had not held back on his powers his Wall was as it's strongest a magic only Arthur had broken through. Galahad looked at the young knight and smiled some "I hope your ready I will use all my strength" Galahad stomped into the ground and it was like the ground were alive "Earth giants!" On each side of Karamis raised the ground up and shaped into two giants made of earth and stone and both of them attacked Karamis on each side with powerful blows

"Damn" Karamis let slip as he saw the mastery of Galahad's earth magic, it was impeccable. Even higher praise could be said of his wall defense, it truly was the best the Knights had to offer, but now Karamis wanted to show off his even more. He sheathed his sword and held out his hands on either side as the Giants were about to hit him. "Aegis: Double Rebound" A barrier appeared bouncing the giants blows back at them, before behind them appeared another rebounding barrier, causing them to bounce between with increasing speed and power until they were rubble. Then Karamis rushed at Galahad's wall, unsheathing his blade. "Sword magic:Meteor Blade!" He yelled thrusting his sword at the wall, an immense explosion resulting from the techinque borrowed from the Celestial Spirit King.

His earth giants beaten like childs play no that was not it Galahad could now understand why Karamis was a Genius to use his giants strength against them and in so little time was no easy feat Galahad could not stop a smile from appearing on his lips as Karamis rushed at him "Good don't hold back!" Galahad's body was shining with magical energy as he strengthened his Wall further for the attack and as the smoke for the explosion slowly disappeared was result clear Galahad had been pushed far back and into the ground but his Wall was still intact but everything around him was completely destroyed by the attack for such a brief moment that it almost did not happen looked Galahad completely surprised his Wall had been pushed back and so far Karamis probably did not realize just how powerful something should be just to move Galahad and his Wall and that he had done it. The Wall surrounding Galahad disappeared as he clapped his hands together like if he was praying and a great Magic Seal appeared under Karamis "Earth magic: Mountain of the gods Mount olympus!" Galahad slammed his hands on the ground and a beam of pure power shot up from the ground under Karamis reaching higher than the clouds. Galahad was not sure to use one of his strongest Earth spells but he wanted to see what Karamis would do against such overwhelming spell

It was far too powerful attack for him to rebound, as it would take up nearly all of his magic energy. Too wide of a blast radius to dodge effectively enough. "Aegis: Triple Wall" He did his best imitation of his seniors wall after having studied its reactions to his last two attacks. It was a cheap imitation however and the three walls were cracked but with each defeat of a wall the attacks power was slightly lessened. His last line of defense (play on words intended lol) was to hold his shield infront of him and simply take the attack. He descended from the clouds landing on a knee with slight impact and his left arms armor and shield completely gone. "Geez I'm still just a kid hehehe" He joked with Galahad before getting up. "Now it's my turn to break yours." He held his sword infront of his face closing his eyes and his body began to glow yellow with magic power. "Holy Magic: Divine Streak!" He opened his eyes and a beam of concentrated obliterating holy magic shot straight at Galahad's defense.

Galahad was astounded not only by how little damage Karamis had taken but the way he protected himself from Galahad's spell almost copy his Wall Galahad had the same feeling he had felt when he stood face to face with a young Arthur. Galahad's train of thought was quickly interrupted by the beam of light that were coming straight at him "Wall!" Galahad was quickly surrounded by his Wall again as the beam hit "It will not be that easily broken!" Galahad stomped into the ground making the ground cover his legs to keep him in place and as beam finally stopped was one thing clear Galahad was on his knees and was breathing very heavily from exhaustion but his Wall was there still but all over it was cracks and it looked like it could fall at any moment "A kid maybe but a powerful kid without doubt Karamis" Galahad got up from his knees and smiled to Karamis "How about we stop before one of us ends up dead"

"A wise decision, as if one of our defenses were to fall it would be to an attack that would be deadly." He smiled in agreement, sheathing his sword and shaking out what was his shield arm a bit. "I have to admit though that your wall, in terms of pure defensive power is the superior of the two magics. However Aegis provides a little more variety. An adaptable defense and an immovable wall. The Knights are lucky to have both powers on their side."

Galahad raised his hand with the palm facing up and the ground next to him and Karamis raised and formed into two chairs "That is very true but where I'm almost at the limit of how strong I can become, you are still far from that limit" Galahad smiled at the young knight as he sat down in the chair "And as such I have a little trick which can make your defense stronger if you have the time"

"I'm always willing to learn Ser Galahad." Kamaris said seating himself in one of the chairs leaning forward slightly interested in what tips he could pick up. "Oh but before I forget did you have the nurses draw your blood?"

Galahad raised his hand again and the ground raised up next to Karamis the ground was like a hand and it was holding several tubes filled with blood "Yes I was not sure how much were needed so I had them take two liters and Kamaris stop calling me Ser we are not at anything official and we have the same rank so you don't need to Ser" Galahad smiled to Kamaris as he leaned back "Before I teach you my little trick you can make your shields other shapes?"

"I know, its a bad habit Ser, I mean Galahad." The words felt awkward without a Ser infront of it. It would be a hard habit to break. "Yes, many different shapes."

Galahad laughed a little "Well that is good" Galahad held his hand up and a mini version of his Wall hovered over his hand he then held his other hand up and a mini shield made of earth hovered now over his hand "Let's say my Wall and your shields are equally powerful like the two that I just made here" With a nod of his head started sand flying at the shield and the Wall "If you think of the sand like the attack I used on you you will see something very interesting. Your shield is stopping more of the sand and takes on more of it because the flat surface" And as Galahad said it shattered the shield "But my Wall lets most of the sand fly along its sides and only need to handle half of the sand straight on due to its round shape that does not stop but let things slide along the sides" Now the Wall shattered and Galahad looked at Karamis "Does it make sense?"

"Yes, by meeting the impact with a curved surface you minimize the energy that can be placed on any one point making it hard to crack." Kamaris nodded along. "I have shields that follow the same concept, though I see why my imitations of your wall failed as I didn't curve them, merely copied its properities."

"Yes exactly but your imitation failed not because they were not curved but because they were imitations. My Wall is only as strong as it is because I use it my body and magical energy are trained to use my Wall magic if you copied its properities and use it with your magical energy and body they will not work well together and will be much weaker then the original"
