Demon hunting

There was not a cloud to see on the night sky and the stars was shining clear and beautifully it would have been a perfect night to take a walk through the city with the one you love had it not been for the shouting and people running around on the streets with lights and everything that could be used as a weapon in their hands and all that commotion was because of Kena who was running for her life and hiding every time she heard someone get close to her a bit earlier had someone seen her small horns on her forehead and now the town was on a demon hunt and Kena was the target and Kena who was hiding in a closed store was too scared to think about what she should do other than hiding

Cynthia was wondering pass the town when she heard they we're looking for a young girl. Sicken with the thought she attack the towns people with sword in hand. A loud noise of screams and bones being broken for once echoed. Not for a moment did she stop Cynthia had attacked everyone there man and woman alike until they began to run and even when they ran she still attacked them. Sucking her teeth the wizard turn to look for the young demon.

The sound of the screams and bones reached all the way into the store Kena was hiding in but it was not the sound that had paralyzed the young demon with fear but the sensation of a sword at her neck and her magical powers weakening it was not the sensation itself that had paralyzed her but what it meant there was only thing that could make Kena like that and that was powerful demon slayer magic. Kena closed her eyes she knew no matter what she did she would be killed by a slayer like that but she would not make it easy Kena opened her eyes and her red eyes was shining with power Kena ran out of the store onto the blood red streets and put her hands together "Nightmare night!" It took less than a second before that part of the city was shrouded in a dark mist which eclipsed even the bright stars from all corners of the city came one monster after the other monsters that could only be found in the worst nightmares and they killed everything in their path straight toward the source of the demon slayer magic that Kena could sense but even with her most powerful curse did Kena not know if she could even hurt the slayer

Cynthia look at those things. Standing in front of the shop that Kena was hiding in she pulled out her blade. Preparing for battle but not letting anyone kill her Cynthia charge in. With a few quick slashes of her sword Cynthia had cut buildings in half and into pieces. She had done the same with the demons and charge into them. One after another she attacked and attacked.

Then all of a sudden disappeared the dark mist together with all the monsters, Kena fell down on her knees exhausted and drained of power Nightmare night was stille a too strong spell for Kena to use it for more than a few seconds and now could she hear them footsteps and the sound of a blade cutting through the wind Kena looked down she knew she was dead no slayer would let a demon like her live

Cynthia turn around back to the door and pushed it open. Walking inside she turn to see Kena. Bending down she looked at the young girl and smiled. "Why are you scared?" Cynthia asked as she put her sword down on the ground.

"Slayers kills their targets mercilessly and demon slayer magic energy is pouring out of you" Only now did Kena look up at the woman with a mixture of hate and fear in her eyes "So get it over with and stop playing with me!" shouted Kena as she closed her eyes knowing full well that in a moment that sword would cut her in half

Cynthia looked at the little girl. Was she sensing her magic and was that something she was scared of? "I'm not a demon slayer. I have the properties of a Demon Slayer to make myself stronger. I have not been train to kill demons young lady. In truth I came here to save you."

For a moment looked Kena very confused but now that they were so close to each other she could sense the magic energy was much like a Demon slayer but not a Demon slayers magic "Save me? but why I am a demon with horns and curses and you are a human?" Kena held her hair back so her two small horns on her forehead could be seen but Kena was still confused as to why she would try and save Kena

Kena was stunned with what the woman said Kena got up and realized first now that all the people who had been after her was either dead or badly injured and it was all the woman's work "How do you know I am a good demon you saw the town why choose me over them?"

"Any normal demon would have killed all those people on the spot. You didn't" Cynthia said reaching her hand out to the young girl. The young girl had the choice of taking it or not it was all her choice everything was her choice.

Kena looked at the hand for a moment before she took it and got up "I would have done it if I could but they were too many and if I use my curses too much a Slayer or the Knights is surely to come after me" Kena's legs was shaking slightly from how little energy she had left Kena shook her head a bit Nightmare night was really too powerful she should never used it

"There aren't many Demon Slayers you're fine there." Cynthia didn't know what to do with the young demon. She couldn't take her anywhere at least she thought. "You need to job a guild."

Kena looked at the woman like she was mad "The instant I put my feet inside a guild they will kill or take me prisoner even a dark guild would do that to me I am a demon after all " Kena looked down the street that was still red from the blood "Not everyone is as understanding as you....." It occurred to Kena she did not know the name of her savior "I am Kena and thanks for saving me"

"You're a demon. Even a powerful dark guild what would someone as strong as you, someone who can change any tide in a battle." Cynthia look down at the girl so her name was Kena. That was a nice name for a young girl Demon or not. "I am Cynthia and you're welcome I will gladly help you."

Kena looked rather surprised but smiled a bit for the first time "They would welcome me" Just the thought made Kena more happy and being called strong made her smile even more "But I only know of light guilds I need to avoid I don't even know where to look" Kena looked at Cynthia for some sort of Guild Tattoo but did not see any "What guild do you belong to?"

"I am part of Genesis. What would you like to join a light guild, dark guild or independent I will help you." Cynthia didn't know if she had heard of the guild. Genesis was a know guild in Fiore but they we're also a guild that had only become a light guild some years ago. Oh well it could be worse.

"Genesis..." Kena had think a little before she could remember what she had heard about Genesis from the various dreams she had been in "Oh that is the dark guild that became a independent guild then a light guild but maybe still is a dark guild" Kena looked at Cynthia a little confused "Your guild is very confusing" Kena smiled some more by now she seemed more like a normal girl then a demon "But probably a dark guild as a light and independent guild would hand me over to the Rune Knights or the Magic Council"

"The guild depends on its Guild Master. We went through a lot of changes." Cynthia look at Kena for a moment. She was so young to turn her life into one of a criminal. "Are you sure you are ready to become something like that?" This could be a hard life for a young girl. However she might be safe depending on the Dark Guild and their skills.

Kena's eyes glowed red and her horns grew some so that they could be seen through her ​​hair so she looked like the demon she really was "I am already something like that.." Her horns became small again and her eyes stopped glowing as she smiled to Cynthia "I can't run from what I am but I'm happy you looked more at me as a girl and not a demon" Kena's smile disappeared a little "But still a demon can't be in a light and happy guild it is in my blood to be a demon after all"

Cynthia put her hand on Kena head. She was such a sweet and innocent young girl. "You are not evil just because of your race. You should make the choice what do you want to do?" Cynthia had asked Kena. She was so young and that meant so much to Cynthia.

Cynthia's hand was so warm and comforting the way it was on Kena's head "I don't want to run or be afraid I will be in chains next time I open my eyes" Kena looked up at Cynthia "I feed of peoples fears and nightmares I can't see any other then a drak guild would not put me in chains so do I really have a choice?"

Cynthia look at Kena and she came up with two choices. "You can join my guild or I will take you to a Dark Guild who will at least treat you well." With whatever choice she made Cynthia knew that Kena would be taken care of. The young didn't deserve to be in a Dark Guild but at least they would take care of her. All Cynthia wanted was for Kena to be safe.

Kena looked down Cynthia was so kind and it was just because of that, that Kena could not say yes to join her guild she did not wanted to make problems for Cynthia and her guild "A Dark Guild" Kena could not even look up at Cynthia when she said it
