Absent minded (Open)

Shadou gave a slight smile. "A long ways off, I live the very definition of secluded. Helps keep me from danger and other from danger from my experiments. Plus you have to get far away from towns to truly appreciate the glow of the stars, and see the enormity of the cosmos. Tis my greatest hobby." He paid the check and got up out of his chair ready to begin walking to the edge of town. "Tell me Tida if we are to be roommates what hobby do you have?"

"Collecting oddities and magical items, how nice we have something in common already." He smiled. "I too crave oddities and magical items for the archeological prospects. I will pay you well enough that you should have plenty of time to visit your sister and no longer sacrifice such artifacts. What is her name?" Shadou asked noticing her hair. "And is her hair as beautiful as yours?" He said looking at it.

"Oh I'm not sure, I'm not good around people. Its a wonder you are even able to put up with me hehe" He laughed. "What if you take me home and she gets the wrong idea, I mean we are living together now you bring me home..What if she doesn't approve!?" Shadou said legitmately getting worried for some reason. The edge of town began to come into sight.

"No I want to, I just..ahhh" Shadou was getting flusterd, he didn't know how to handle himself around women. He sought to change the subject. "Do you have any magic that gives you the capability to fly?"

"Not at all, I walked into town, its just a far walk and I'm afraid I may not be the most entertaining conversationalist" Shadou said worried he would bore her. "But let us begin, there is some beautiful scenery along the way." He said setting out beyond the town limits to the field. "If we are lucky night will fall and we can be guided by the stars. It's the easiest way to remember where I residence is" He said "Using the stars as a map I mean."

Shadou heard her yawn "Are you tired Tida?" he asked "If so you can hop on my back, I have no problem carrying you some of the way. I don't sleep much during these hours as it is" A thought popped into his head "Oh, you aren't adverse to cold are you? It can get cold at my...I mean our house"

"Very well" Shadou smiled in response to her half hearted smile. "I admire your attitude, very positive and upbeat." Shadou said continuing to walk "It will be nice to be around, do you have any interest in expanding your magic arsenal?" He said wandering what his new roommate's long term plans were in the magic world.

"I don't want to push you, if its a simple life you want to lead then it is a simple life you'll get by living with me, I'll just try to be quiet when you need your rest and I keep experimenting." He said stopping and putting down his things. "Speaking of rest, why don't we take a break, I just remembered there is a star I wanted to get a look at while I was in this location" Shadou made up an excuse as he could see Tida fading. He rummaged through his things throwing out a telescope a few lachrima, and some food before finding the tent lachrima. He poured some magic into it making it form into a tent big enough for the two of them. "There, we'll begin the walk again tomorrow, for now I must set up my things" He said walking over to his telescope hoping he didn't offend Tida by just assuming she would go along with this plan.

Shadou had a shocked face on his look, shocked by her resourcefulness. "Very impressive" He smiled "I'll be fine, thank you." He looked through his telescope at the stars, you could see the anxiety of socializing melt from his shoulders and he took deeper breaths. He loved talking but it kept him on edge since he wanted to impress and take care not to offend his new roommate. "Beautiful" He said scanning the sky, even though it wasn't night some stars had cracked the evening sky.

Shadou layed spread out as if he had fallen over from his telescope, with a snot bubble deflating and inflating with his breaths. He had passed out as the stars began to fade. He let out a yawn as the morning sun beamed right in his eye. He pulled up his hood and rolled away from it. The morning sun wasn't his biggest friend.

Shadou let out a dissaproving moan when he heard the flint and didn't roll over. That was until the aroma of the morning meal hit his nostrils. He rolled over opening on of his eyes as he saw the plate. His eyes then moved to the fire, that he had not remembered making last night. He sat up removing his hood and lifting the plate and silver wear seeing Tida's signature metal was the making of them. He cut up a bit of the meat and tossed it into his mouth of his fork, before even chewing he threw some bread in there as well, with a delighted look coming across his puffy cheeked face. "Ahhhhmazing." He said eating some more. "You're something else, a survivalist and a cook" He said with a full mouth.

"If you can make meals like this, I'll buy you enough supplies to last ten lifetimes." He said enjoying another bite. "N-not meaning I expect you to cook all the time" He exlaimed nervously. Taking a swig from the cup of water "A very special morning indeed. I haven't had a meal or a friend like this in my life." He slid the cup back over to her "Thank you, and this meal will provide me with enough energy to make the trip go by like that" Shaoud said snapping his fingers.

"Indeed, the light will help us navigate the more dangerous landmarks in our way." He said hoping not to scare her "The isolation is worth it though" He smiled gathering his things back into his pack. "Let's roll" He said walking off in the direction of home. He hadn't been there in a while and was getting a little homesick, and hoped that non of his experiments had blown up while he had gone.
