The Plans

Levi silently stepped into the Guild Masters study at his request, it seemed Raphael wanted to run some ideas by Levi. "You asked for me to follow?"

Raphael had looked up from his research. He noticed Levi standing in his studies. "Ah yes, we need to go over the plans. Of course this operation won't happen right away and theres still some planing to be done."

Levi shut the door to the study and leaned against it. "From what I gathered with your speech to the others, you want to lead an assault on the council under the cover of the games and get the secrets neccesary to complete your work into Curses. Its a sound plan, what you have to decide is if you want to go in quiet and get the secrets or make a statement and bring the place down." He said monotone.

"Alexandria and Dumah brought back a lot of information, but there's still other information I haven't got yet. Going in quiet would be better, then once we gathered our information we'll blow it up." Raphael closed his eyes, envisioning the plan.

"We don't have the footsoldiers alone for such an operation and as a Dark Guild we won't be allowed to enter, as I doubt Soumei and especially Matthew would pick us to represent their sides. Same can be said for Demon Scar." Levi said closing his eyes in thought before opening them again with a gleam over his slit iris. "Once we contact them we ask them to join us under the guise of a different team, a new guild with false credentials and use some memory magic to make it seem real, at least for the moment. This gives us the numbers needed for the illusion of the tourney and the counsel infaltration."

"Same thought I had, thing to do now is to contact them." Raphael had stood up and picked out a book. He was deep in thought. Raphael slowly opened his eyes, he looked towards Levi from the corner of his eye. "You've been on their side before, exactly what are their numbers. I know Shadow Wolves would attend the tournament, however Marcus wouldn't be in the tournament. It'll be wise to have two groups for the Council tower, an assault group and a recon group."

"You have two teams, and you run the risk of getting detected. The Council's have more geniuses on their side then we do ours. I'm certain even the Knights have gone through observation and pattern recognition training. You have a recon group, it'll have to be someone who has the ability to recon from far away. That way only the Assault group has to go in." Levi said while simaltaneously crunching numbers in his head. "The Council Chairmembers are still in a selection process, only a few seats have been taken. Matthew will no doubt be at the tournament to observe, and they say Arthur has been allowed to participate though there is chatter he may put other Knights in to prove there worth. If he stays behind at the Council building in his office that's a problem. Same can be said of Marcus if he shows up, individually those two are a one man army, together they pose a problem even if me and you were on the assault team." He said continuing his thought. "If you are looking for a basic number though......." He thought for a moment. "Maybe 300 cadet knights guarding the premise, with the more experienced guarding closer to a midway point between the Tournament and the Council Building, and maybe a single chairmember of the Council, with maybe two Wizard Saints, three at most since they are hard to track down and even harder to get to cooperate. Marcus will most likely be watching at the tournament along with whatever wolves are participating so their numbers don't matter. The problem is the fact that they can get to the Council building the moment an alarm is triggered, which is why I stress being discreet until we have what we need."

Raphael was visualizing the whole thing in his mind. Would it probably be a better idea to abandon that other knowledge. The mere thought made Raphael grind his teeth, no the information he could gather from there was more important than the sealed relic itself. After all he needed to understand how to break the seal. "If we abandon the knowledge we would have to turn to the thought of kidnapping one of the council members. Mily more importantly, point is with that option is we run the risk of reveling ourselves. I agree that some who can extract the needed information from afar would be better. After all it'll leave us only with one less problem, importantly we need to speak of the assault team. Those from the order, you and perhaps myself would be the better options. However Dumah abilities would perhaps leave him to be that very recon person." Raphael had thought about the tournament team, he would need to think of it perfectly to not have that team draw suspension to them. If he could pull Marcus and Arthur away from the council tower then it would save them the trouble. "Perhaps we can start a rumor." Raphael's eye lit up.

Levi nodded with Raphael's plan "Mmm what kind of rumor are you thinking?" He asked intrigued with what kind of rumor would lure Arthur and Marcus away from the tower.

"If we can spread word, about an attack on the tournament. They would have to be kept on guard, perhaps talk of eliminating both council members, and the light guilds. Of course they wouldn't want to end the games after all much is riding on this little gamble of theirs. Surely talk like that would get Matthew, Marcus and Arthur to stay at the games. Worse case being that maybe Mily would stay back, Ally however would also be attending the games to see old friends. We probably would come across some wizard saints." Raphael wanted to thin the enemy lines, some of the saints belonged to a guild, maybe they would attend the games he thought, as for the other perhaps they can be dealt with before the plan was done. Maybe once inside the tower they would had to seal the entrance to reach the tower he thought.

"That would keep them towards the tournament yes, but it would also put them on alert ruining our element of surprise. I would much prefer a plan where we get in as quietly as possible, get what we need either by stealing it or brining an archive mage along who can simply picture and/or download the information and set some explosive runes to set to detonate once we are a safe distance away. That way we avoid retribution from the Council since they cannot prove it was us who were the thieves." Levi gave his opinion. "Unless it is you want them to know it was us, in which case there are other ways to play this to get the biggest bang for your buck."

Raphael leaned in the back of his chair, Levi mentioned some important ideas. "I could easily archive it, but I can't help out in the events of if we must fight. Perhaps when she returns I can teach her a few tricks. Aside from that you're right, they would be prepared. However this is Matthew we're talking about, I'm sure he would suspect something either way. I would rather we not revile ourselves to the councils just yet." Raphael had stood up walking to a collection of books he had. "I'll leave you in charge of the Assault team, you'll take a small group with you. I'm sure you can already figure out where I'm going with this, anyway it'll be your operation. I'll set up the gateway between here and the council to ensure safe travels as well as the ability to make the travel go unnoticed."

Levi let out a sigh, he knew he was going to have to lead and talk to people, as much as he hated doing that it was neccesary if this plan was going to work. "Before we make any formal plans or prematurely set up travel runes, we must first see if Demon Scar is on board no?" Levi told Raphael. "That way I have a better feel for my personnel on this operation, and we can consult with their guilds strategist as well."

Raphael took his father hat setting it on top of his collections of books. Raphael rolled up the cuffs from his shirt. "Let us go, we should make hast if we're to keep on track with this plan. Lead the way to their headquarters." Raphael walked towards the door opening.
